Healthcare Reform

Issue:

The Healthcare System in America is BROKEN.

The cost of healthcare vs the quality of care is INBALANCED

Solution:

Introduce a “single payer health care system” that is fair to all, even Hoosiers.

Proposal:

First off, if you are currently employed, you can elect to keep your health insurance coverage and opt out of paying into the single payer healthcare system.

Deciding to opt into the single payer healthcare system, for example, a family of four including two adults and two children who earn a combined income of more than 80k per year should expect to see 10 percent income tax to cover your medical healthcare coverage in addition to prescription coverage.

If you are not employed, between the ages of 0-18 or 65 years and older you will pay zero for medical healthcare including prescription costs.

How Can We Afford This Program

We will need to create more streams of revenue to cover the healthcare for those who are living below the poverty line, elderly and retired or a child.

Introducing a new wealth tax offset program to the multi-millionaires and billionaires of America as follows: if you earn more than 10 million dollars per year then you should expect to see an additional one percent taxation that goes directly into the single payer healthcare system even if you choose to opt out of the program
